What should be done before activate Online Licensing?
1. Deactivate the SOLIDWORKS license from the standalone computer, refer A.2.
(Note: Make sure that all the computers that under same SOLIDWORKS standalone
license must deactivate)

(Note: Recommended use a public email & password to create the SOLIDWORKS ID, so
that every user can log in)
3. After logged in, select User_Name >Admin Portal
(If you are having difficulty accessing the Admin Portal, you may need to reach out to
your Admin Portal Administrator and have them add you as a “member”.)
4. Select “Members” tab, the page is shown as below. In this page, you can search your organization members, invite member as member/ admin, and assign product(s).
(Recommend: If has only 1 license, better choose all of the products.)
Kindly noted - one license/serial number is only valid assign to one user.
5. Then, select “Change to Online Licensing”.
6. One message pop-up, click “Change”. (if any)
What product(s) can be selected as Online Licensing?
- SOLIDWORKS CAD (Standard, Professional, and Premium)
- SOLIDWORKS Simulation (Standard, Professional, and Premium)
- SOLIDWORKS Plastics (Standard, Professional, and Premium)
- SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation (Included Electronic Cooling and HVAC Add-ons)
- SOLIDWORKS Composer
- SOLIDWORKS Electrical (Schematic Standard, Schematic Professional, 3D, and Professional)
- SOLIDWORKS PCB
- SOLIDWORKS CAM (Standard and Professional)
- SOLIDWORKS Inspection (Standard and Professional)
- SOLIDWORKS MBD (Standard)
- SOLIDWORKS Visualize (Standard and Professional)
How to activate Online Licensing?
1. Restart the SOLIDWORKS. An error message might pop-up. Close SOLIDWORKS and restart again.
2. A login menu pop-up. You just sign in by using the public email that has been register in
www.mysolidworks.com (SOLIDWORKS ID).
(Kindly note - Computer should always connect to internet when using SOLIDWORKS)
3. Once successfully logged into SOLIDWORKS, you will see a blue icon in the upper right corner that will allow you to control your MySolidworks login.
(Kindly note - You not need always log in/ log out the MySolidworks, if you are using SOLIDWORKS in same computer)
What should I do, if I forgot log out MySolidworks on previous computer and I want to open SOLIDWORKS on other computer?
1. The below error message will pop-up. Select “Yes”. It helps you to log out SOLIDWORKS on the previous computer.
How to use offline license?
1. Open SOLIDWORKS. Sign in MySolidworks. Select blue icon > Take License offline
Note:
-Take License Offline can use up to 30 days under Internet disconnect.
-When "Take License Offline" is selected, only that computer can use, it acts like activated machine.
-If want to return "Take License Offline", just sign in MySolidworks and sign out again (need internet connection)
How to check SOLIDWORKS license/ serial number?
1. In SOLIDWORKS, go to Help > About SOLIDWORKS
2. Click “Show Serial Number” (if any). The serial number will show.
(Kindly note - Serial Number has 24 digits)
How to remove member in Admin Portal for Online Licensing?
1. Select Members > Member Details
2. Select Remove Product to remove all the product(s) of the member that you want to remove.
3. Then, only can remove member by selecting Remove Member.
